Accessibility Statement

ACCTAN Corp. wants RaiseDeck to be usable by as many founders as possible, including people who use screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, magnification, or other assistive technology.
Conformance status
We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We assess RaiseDeck as substantially conformant with WCAG 2.1 AA: the standard is met across the site, with the known exceptions listed below. We have not yet commissioned an independent third-party audit.
What we have done
- Keyboard access. Every interactive control can be reached and operated with a keyboard, with a visible focus indicator and a “Skip to main content” link on each page.
- Screen readers. Form fields have programmatically associated labels, validation errors are announced and linked to their field, and deck generation progress is announced through a live region.
- Colour contrast. Text and interface elements meet or exceed the 4.5:1 contrast ratio required for normal text. No information is conveyed by colour alone.
- Reduced motion. Animation is minimised for visitors whose system requests reduced motion.
- Structure. Pages use semantic headings and landmark regions, and the site language is declared.
Known limitations
We would rather be specific than claim perfection:
- Generated decks. The .pptx and PDF files RaiseDeck produces are documents you own and edit. We apply sensible reading order and text contrast, but we cannot guarantee that an exported file meets WCAG or PDF/UA once you have edited it, and generated slides do not include alternative text for any imagery you add.
- Third-party checkout. Payment is completed on Stripe's hosted checkout, which is outside our control. Stripe publishes its own accessibility information.
- No independent audit yet. Our assessment is based on internal testing, including measured contrast ratios and keyboard and screen-reader checks — not a formal third-party evaluation.
Tell us if something blocks you
If any part of RaiseDeck is difficult or impossible for you to use, we want to know and we will help. Email contact@acctan.com with the page and what went wrong. We aim to reply within 2 business days, and we will work with you to give you the same outcome by another route — including producing your deck for you if the interface itself is the barrier.
Formal complaints
If our response does not resolve the problem, you may escalate to the relevant authority in your country. In the United States that is the U.S. Department of Justice, Civil Rights Division.
